I have been meaning to write about a speaker that came to our womens group
She spoke about Couragous Parenting
It was AMAZING!

We reflected on Phillipians 4:6
Do not be anxious for anything, but in every situation by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving make your request known to God,,,,and the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds forever, Finally, whatever is true, admirable, if anyting is excellent or praisworthy, think about such things, whatever you have learned or recieved or heard from me, put it into practice! And the God of peace will be with you!

Love love that verse!
WE NEED AS PARENTS TO PRAY ABOUT EVERYTHING!!!!
When we get into the car...say...Lord protect this car....and the praying can go on and on!
Perfect parenting is when you have peace with the decision....it may not have been right...but you have peace with it!

Discipline is good. We have to take things away, we have to give them responsiblities so they feel like they have a part in this family

MAKE SURE YOU ARE TRANSPARENT to your kids...let the know you are real....if you are having a bad day..tell them...tell them it is not them, it is you....you don't have to be fake for them

Galatians 6:9
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do ot give up

GRACE: what you recieve as a gift from God that you do not deserve
PEACE: What you experience when you are in the will of God
MERCY: that which you deserve from God, but do not recieve

She suggested us read JESUS CALLING and POWER OF THE PRAYING PARENT

Some other points were...teach your kids to never walk over trash in the house....pick it up...if they don't who will, don't expect someone else to do something for you
Never take the last of anyting without asking the family if they want it

YOU HAVE TO FEED YOURSELF IF YOU WANT TO FEED OTHERS!!!!

BEING PERFECT IS EXHAUSTING!!!!!

NEVER FOCUS ON THE NEGATIVE
